As an Operator, you ensure a smooth-running production process. And not just any process – this is a craft, a unique and independent process that you won’t find anywhere else.
Your workweek at Ardagh Glass Packaging as an operator is varied and challenging. You’ll perform inspections to identify and resolve issues, adjust your assigned machine, carry out maintenance, and monitor product quality. Operating, supervising, and controlling the glass-forming machines is a key part of your role. You make sure the production process runs smoothly and efficiently. You also contribute ideas for process improvements and present them to the roundtable team.
In addition, you’ll lubricate and replace molds to keep the machines in top condition. Your tasks require technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Thanks to your efforts, production stays efficient and products meet the highest quality standards.

Ardagh Glass Benelux, with locations in Dongen and Moerdijk, develops, produces, and sells glass packaging for all major A-brand manufacturers in the food and beverage industry, including Hak, Heinz, Coca-Cola, Heineken, and Inbev. The entire process, from raw materials to the finished product, is largely automated.
Ardagh continuously invests in improving its complex, technologically advanced installations. Just as important, the company invests heavily in its people. Employees receive ongoing education and training to keep up with the latest technological developments.
In addition to the well-known bottles and jars we see on store shelves every day, Ardagh is increasingly focused on developing innovative glass packaging. Production is carried out using three furnaces (across nine production lines), two of which produce clear glass and one green glass. Each year, the company produces around 1.2 billion bottles and jars for over 100 clients.
The Dongen facility employs around 400 people, about 50% of whom work in a five-shift rotation. The Moerdijk facility employs around 175 people.
